Gates and doors at the Pool
The gates to the pool as well as the bathroom doors have been found propped open. This is one of the items that caused the county to shut down the pool a few months ago. DO NOT prop these open.

Irrigation update for ALL homes in Villa Milano
The county has imposed the following restrictions on all forms of irrigation in Charlotte County.:
Lawn Watering Days & Times
Following the Southwest Florida Water Management District's water shortage declaration, Charlotte County residents, including those on private wells, are asked to limit watering to once per week. These measures are in effect from Feb. 8, 2026 through July 1, 2026.
Watering days are based on what number your address ends in:
0 or 1, shall only water on Monday.
2 or 3, shall only water on Tuesday.
4 or 5, shall only water on Wednesday.
6 or 7, shall only water on Thursday.
8 or 9, shall only water on Friday, along with locations with a mix of addresses or for which an address cannot be determined (such as common areas associated with a subdivision)
Watering hours are reduced to the morning only from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (not lawns) are allowed any day, any time.
The county will be patrolling all areas and there is a warning then a fine issued.
If there is a neighbor watering outside these times please ask them if they have seen the county guidelines. Or you can, anonymously, call 941-764-4300 to report.
If you need help setting your sprinkler system John Kissel has offered to help.

Swales and Drainage Update 2/21/2026
The swale project is almost complete. There are a couple items i.e. fixing the hole in the outer wall and installation of a baffle, that will be completed but the swales have been certified by the Engineer and SWFMD. The pump on the main pond has one more small fix then can be started. This should keep out retention pond at a higher level.

Electric Scooters and Electric Bikes - a message from the VM Safety Committee
For the safety of your children please talk to them about some safety and common courtesy while using e-bikes and electric scooters. It has been brought to our attention by people in the neighborhood.
• Control Speed: Start slow, practice in safe areas, and anticipate earlier stopping due to added weight.
• Know the Rules: Follow traffic laws, ride with traffic, and be aware of your surroundings (cars, potholes).
We have had instances of disrespect to people when they just about run over them. They are not stopping at stop signs and obeying the speed limits. I do not want any child hurt while trying to have fun. -

Association Declaration/Rules
A committee has been established to review and suggest revisions in the Association’s Declaration/Bylaws. It will be lead by Susan Ritter and Traci Creighton will be the board liaison.
Meetings will resume after the first of the year. Watch the calendar for specific date.
If anyone is interested in joining this committee contact Traci Creighton via the Contact Us page as they are looking for a good representation from the homeowners.
All Homeowners are welcome to come to the meeting to listen in on the discussion.

Report speeding concerns
Concern noted during a Board meeting to have a reminder to residence when traveling in the community please follow the posted 15 MPH signs
If you notice a resident, visitor or vendor speeding through our neighborhood use the Contact Us page, below, to send information on the vehicle to the Safety Committee and Board for follow up. It is helpful to have as much information (license plate, name, vendor) as possible.

QR/Virtual Key codes for the Entry Gate
If you need a way for a visitor to come through the gates after hours there is a way for the homeowner to send an individual QR code. The code will be shown by the visitor at the gate display. These are different than the gate codes used in the past as they are specific to the homeowner that developed the code and visitor coming in the gate. The difference between the Virtual Key and a Gate Code is that the QR code cannot be shared in email or text by the recipient and changes with each use.
Click below for more information. These are developed through your CellGate application. For help in setting these up send a request via the Contact Us page. We have homeowners that will contact you to help you set the code up.

Parking Safety Reminder
Please be mindful when parking on the street to ensure the safety of other vehicles and pedestrians. At our recent Board meeting, safety concerns were raised regarding visibility and access between parked cars. Limited visibility increases the risk of accidents involving people walking, cyclists, and children at play.
We kindly ask all residents and visitors to park considerately to help keep our community safe.
