The next Town Hall meeting will be April 11th at 9-11am. It will be held in the pool area.

Please come for updates and bring any questions or comments.

  • Swales and Drainage Update 3/22/2026

The swale project is complete including:

SWFMD has given certification to the Association.

Areas around the swale have been cleared and sodded. Our landscape service will keep them mowed.

The baffles have been installed by the weir wall in front of the county ditch

Breaks in the main wall have been fixed. The HOA board is getting bids on repaint of the wall.

If there area any questions please use the Contact Us page to send them to the HOA Board.

  • Gates and doors at the Pool

The gates to the pool as well as the bathroom doors have been found propped open. This is one of the items that caused the county to shut down the pool a few months ago. DO NOT prop these open.

  • Entrance Gate

If the entry gate does not open as you expect, with the fob or Cellgate application, please do the following:

    - If the fob is not working be sure you don’t need a new battery. It takes a little longer for the gate to open than with the Cellgate application

    - If your Cellgate application doesn’t work: call a friend or another homeowner to see if they can open the gate remotely with the application. Use the Contact Us page on the website to ask for help with your Cellgate application if others are not having an issue.

If this doesn’t work call the STAR emergency number (941.628.0772) and send a message via the Contact Us page. This is monitored by the HOA Board.

  • Irrigation update for ALL homes in Villa Milano

The county has imposed the following restrictions on all forms of irrigation in Charlotte County.:

    Lawn Watering Days & Times

Following the Southwest Florida Water Management District's water shortage declaration, Charlotte County residents, including those on private wells, are asked to limit watering to once per week. These measures are in effect from Feb. 8, 2026 through July 1, 2026.

Watering days are based on what number your address ends in:

    ·         0 or 1 Monday

    ·         2 or 3 Tuesday.

    ·         4 or 5 Wednesday

    ·         6 or 7 Thursday

    ·         8 or 9, Friday, along with locations with a mix of addresses or for which an address cannot be determined (such as common areas associated with a subdivision)

Watering hours are reduced to the morning only from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (not lawns) are allowed any day, any time.

You will be allowed to wash your car on your watering day. The county will be patrolling all areas and there is a warning then a fine issued.

If there is a neighbor watering outside these times please ask them if they have seen the county guidelines. Or you can, anonymously, call 941-764-4300 to report.

If you need help setting your sprinkler system John Kissel has offered to help.

Click on the button below to print the approval form you will need to complete. Mail this document and your $35 check, to Megan Ellison at 26530 Mallard Way, Punta Gorda FL 33950. These will be taken to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) for approval. They meet every 2nd Thursday at 4pm.

If you have multiple requests for approval you can combine them using one form and one submission fee. Approvals are only good for 1 year. If the project hasn’t begun after 1 year another approval must be requested.

  • QR/Virtual Key codes for the Entry Gate

If you need a way for a visitor to come through the gates after hours there is a way for the homeowner to send an individual QR code. The code will be shown by the visitor at the gate display. These are different than the gate codes used in the past as they are specific to the homeowner that developed the code and visitor coming in the gate. The difference between the Virtual Key and a Gate Code is that the QR code cannot be shared in email or text by the recipient and changes with each use.

Click below for more information. These are developed through your CellGate application. For help in setting these up send a request via the Contact Us page. We have homeowners that will contact you to help you set the code up.

  • Parking Safety Reminder

Please be mindful when parking on the street to ensure the safety of other vehicles and pedestrians. At our recent Board meeting, safety concerns were raised regarding visibility and access between parked cars. Limited visibility increases the risk of accidents involving people walking, cyclists, and children at play.

We kindly ask all residents and visitors to park considerately to help keep our community safe.

  • Electric Scooters and Electric Bikes - a message from the VM Safety Committee

For the safety of your children please talk to them about some safety and common courtesy while using e-bikes and electric scooters. It has been brought to our attention by  people in the neighborhood.
    •    Control Speed: Start slow, practice in safe areas, and anticipate earlier stopping due to added weight.
    •    Know the Rules: Follow traffic laws, ride with traffic, and be aware of your surroundings (cars, potholes).

We have had instances of disrespect to people when they just about run over them.  They are not stopping at stop signs and obeying the speed limits. I do not want any child hurt while trying to have fun.

  • Report speeding concerns

Concern noted during a Board meeting to have a reminder to residence when traveling in the community please follow the posted 15 MPH signs

If you notice a resident, visitor or vendor speeding through our neighborhood use the Contact Us page, below, to send information on the vehicle to the Safety Committee and Board for follow up. It is helpful to have as much information (license plate, name, vendor) as possible.
